109 | Jaguar 3.4-Litre S-Type Saloon, 1965 This very elegant S-Type in silver-grey with a red leather interior was produced in September 1965 and registered in December of the same year. A Jaguar-Daimler Trust certificate confirms the car’s « matching-numbers » and the original colour combination as described above. The meticulous care lavished on this Jaguar is documented with sundry maintenance- and overhaul records from the last 13 years. Besides normal maintenance the car was treated to a radiator and brake caliper overhaul, a replacement of the water pump as well as the shock absorbers and a professional freshening-up of the leather interior. The engine runs well and shows equal compression on all cylinders. The 4-speed gearbox with overdrive performs impaccably. The Jaguar was driven enthusiastically by its owner during the past 6 years, a bit too enthusiastically in fact, resulting in a revocation of the Veteran status by the authorities. (In six years 24’000km had been driven instead of the 18’000km allowed in order to keep this status!….rules are rules….). This caused understandable grief with the car’s owner and he lost interest in his S-Type. A new owner should have no problems reinstating the Veteran status with the authorities and start with a clean slate once more. The last Veteran MOT had been completed in June 2014. Seller's estimate : 20000 / 25000 |
Sold for $ 19000 |

137 | Gilera 500 Saturno Piuma, 1956 The Saturno was bought by the vendor in 1990 out of a Gilera collection. In 1993 the engine was overhauled and all bearings replaced. The chance of purchasing a works Gilera Piuma frame, suspension parts, brakes and wheels in 1994 from an ex-works mechanic in Arcore/It led to the decision of converting the bike to full Piuma specification. In 1995 the valve gear was converted, in the interest of reduced wear, to roller rockers, resulting in lower wear and easier maintenance. In 1996, Angelo Lotti from Modena supplied the large cylinder and head, the valve gear and crankshaft drive components from the Piuma racing engine. Well known Gilera tuner Willi Rüfenacht then took care of the engine conversion and with the help of a special camshaft achieved an impressive power output of 40 hp. To make sure that the power reliably reached the rear wheel, a racing gearbox was installed. A fuel tank with an integrated rev-counter especially commissioned from Ruggero Libanore in Monza, was manufactured in aluminium following original Gilera drawings. Since its completion in 1999, the Gilera has been in reliable use at different historic events as well as being driven on the road, resulting in about 6’000 km covered since completion. This 500 Saturno presents itself in very good condition, on the button and will be handed over to the new owner with the last Veteran MOT completed in October 2016. 138 | Gilera 500 Saturno Bialbero, 1956 This great racer was commissioned by the vendor in 2002 through Gilera luminary Willi Rüfenacht in Uerkheim. The original idea was to recreate Jakob Kellers famous DOHC from 1950. Following Kellers idea, the overhead cams are driven through a gear cascade mounted on the side of the engine and operating the valves via bucket tappets. This exceedingly complex and unique construction was carefully planned and built by Rüfenacht with the aim of achieving a reliable 50 to 60 hp (from 500 cc only!) from the engine. The frame used was a PIUMA racing frame with reinforced rear wheel fork on roller bearings as well as a reinforced front wheel fork employing massive tubes. Front and rear braking is achieved through bespoke copies of the original twin cam brake units from the Fifties Gilera four cylinder racing bikes. After many years of head scratching, calculating, re-calculating, constructing and re-constructing the finished bike was finally handed over to its proud owner. Since then the Gilera has run only about half an hour! This Gilera is now in excellent condition, totally “on the button” and waiting to be let loose on its first historic racing event. 172 | Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 Tourismo 5 posti, 1940 The 6C Series cars were the last Alfa Romeos capable of bringing some of the prewar handbuilt glamour and feel into the modern postwar age. Always a step above the rest, they still remind us of the golden age of motoring. This example is one of only 279 examples built with 5-seater Tourismo factory coachwork. Its first owner was the Bruggmühle Goldach, where the car was most probably used to transport members of the management. In the early fifties, Alfa Romeo specialist and race mechanic Bruno Picco bought the 6C, only to pass it on in 1952 to his friend and owner of a well-known body shop, Emil Sahli near Zurich. He in turn did not hesitate to remove the aged black paint and replace it with a fashionable and dashing green metallic. Sahli then used the elegant car for Sunday family outings and one of his longer trips took him, his sons and Bruno Picco to the Formula 1 Grand Prix at Monza. When Sahli bought a camping trailer, he needed a suitable car to pull it and the 6C had to go. It was bought by his friend, the caretaker at the National Museum in Zurich, Walter Nyffeler. This gentleman, nearly 2 meters tall and weighing the better part of 100 kg never really felt comfortable in the car, so it was sold again after a few years to its next owner. Here, unfortunately the trace goes cold for a number of years. The current owner bought the car, with only three previously owners recorded, in 1978. From 1988 to 1991 he had the 6C comprehensively restored and repainted in the current Alfa red. The restoration records and photographs are available. Boasting a matching numbers engine, this splendid saloon is in excellent condition. A further, not inconsiderable bonus is the eligibility to enter the car in the historic Mille Miglia! The last Swiss MOT (with veteran code of course) was completed in July 2017. Seller's estimate : 185000 / 225000 |

173 | Lagonda Rapide, 1963 The Lagonda Rapide, a brain child of David Brown, the owner of Aston Martin at the time, was meant as luxury transport for four, or, (as was the case with David Brown) the owner, his dogs and hunting gear. The car was exceedingly expensive and only 55 could ever be sold. Not many have survived unfortunately, with engines and other mechanical bits often finding their way into the more glamorous Aston Martin models. This right hand drive Rapide, was delivered in Newport Pagnell on the 5th December 1963. It is powered by the venerated 3.7 litre DOHC straight six (of DB4 lore) coupled to a automatic gearbox. The car, which has been driven a total of 108'500 Miles, is « matching numbers » and is well documented with articles in several books on Aston Martin. A large number of maintenance records from 1988 is available. The car is in very good and very original condition with old UK documents and the last Swiss MOT completed in January 2018. Seller's estimate : 155000 / 175000 |

174 | Lamborghini Miura P400, 1968 This fantastic Miura’s exhaustive documentation contains sales contracts that confirm its first delivery to enthusiast and entrepreneur Otto Wild on the 16th July 1968 through Garage Foitek in Zurich. The car was delivered in the striking combination of "blu Miura" and "Skai senape". One interesting clause in the sales contract stated that Foitek would be prepared to take the car back for CHF 45’000 after one year if it was in impeccable condition and had covered less than 10’000km. Wirz duly took advantage of this offer and exchanged the Miura in March 1969 for a Miura «S». In the same month, Foitek found a new owner, an entrepreneur from Biel (Bienne) for Chassis 3604. He gave a Ferrari 330 GT in exchange and became the second owner of the Miura which by then had covered a mere 4’300km. Before delivery, the car was repainted in a metallig green at the request of the buyer. In December 1972 Foitek sold the car once more, with now 32’000km on the clock and painted yellow. This is the moment where Chassis 3604 became part of a private collection and seemingly disappeared for nearly 40 years! A number of years ago, the current vendor bought the Miura which by then had only covered a few hundred kilometers more. He had the body restored and repainted in its original colour. The interior was found in good condition - in accordance with the still rather low total mileage - and it responded well to a thorough cleaning. Well known Lamborghini specalist Marcel Donati (www.sportwagenspezialist.ch) took care of the mechanical side and the following jobs were completed: The fuel tank was removed, flushed, corrosion removed and a protective coating applied. The carburettors, fuel pump and all fuel lines were replaced. The oil sump was removed and cleaned and the oil filter was replaced. Distributor, ignition cables and waterpump were replaced. Brake calipers were overhauled and brake lines, brake pads, master brake cylinder and brake pressure regulator replaced. Clutch master- and slave-cylinder were replaced. Timing chain tension was adjusted, cam timing checked and valve clearance adjusted. A successful compression check completed the preparatory work and after three decades, this wonderful Miura P400 was finally allowed to stretch its legs again. The MOT inspection in December 2019 to acquire a Veteran status was a mere formality. To provide the new owner with a fresh MOT, the inspection has been done again in July 2020. This remarkable Chassis #3604 is now on the market once again and provides a rare chance to acquire one of the «lost Miura» in outstanding condition, its original colour combination, matchng numbers and only 33'000 km driven. Seller's estimate : 1450000 / 1650000 |

175 | Jaguar E-Type Series 1 3.8-Litre Flat Floor1961 This gorgeous E-Type was built in December 1961 and in January 1962 it was exported to New-York. In July 1962 the Jaguar was registered to its first owner in Beverly Hills California (where else!). Unfortunately no history of the car is available up to 2009, except for the fact that the E-Type received a colour change from Opalescent Gun Metal with a red leather interior to the current red with black. The (matching numbers) engine and the Moss gearbox were both overhauled in 2010. A copy of the JDHT certificate is available. 176 | Maserati Bora 4.9, 1973 Even though Maserati had tried a mid-engine concept in race cars more than 10 years previously, it took some time to warm to the idea of a similar layout for a road car but when the Bora finally entered the stage it did it with a bang! More useable than a Miura or a BB and exceedingly elegant. Like so many Boras, this example was first delivered to the US but has been in Switzerland for many years, where the ungainly US-specification bumpers and lights were replaced by European items. The history in the USA is not known, in Switzerland the car had only two owners since 2003. The interior is still in good, original condition. The condition suggests that the displayed 33'500 miles (when imported to Switzerland only the speed indicator was changed) could correspond to the actual mileage. The Matching-Numbers engine, the gearbox and the remaining mechanics are also in good condition. In 2019 the water pump, the water hoses and all V-belts were replaced. The body was restored in 2019 and repainted in the original Maserati colour "Rame Metallizzato" (copper). The last MOT (with Veteran Code) was completed in September 2020. A rare occasion to acquire one of only 235 examples delivered with the desirable 4.9 litre V8 engine. Seller's estimate : 175000 / 185000 |

177 | Aston Martin DB4 Series 3, 1961 This fantastic DB4, one of only 165 examples built of that Series, was delivered to the Gosford Tool & Equipment Ltd. in Coventry on the 7th July 1961. Originally in «Dubonnet Rosso» with a tan interior, the car presents itself in a striking Light Green metallic with a Red leather interior. From 1975 the DB4 resided in Canada where it had two owners, and where a restoration was started about 10 years ago. 5 years ago the car was imported into Austria and the restoration completed. Recently a new fuel tank was installed. Over the years, the car’s engine has been replaced with an identical unit from a Series 2 car. The coachwork, made in the classical «supperleggera» manner with an aluminium skin draped over a light and stiff construction of small diameter steel tubes, was repainted and is completely corrosion free! The Aston drives very well indeed and a large number of maintenance and restoration records document the car’s history. The DB4 has EU papers and is currently NOT taxed in Switzerland. Please note that this car resides in Steyr/Austria and must be collected there. Seller's estimate : 435000 / 465000 |

178 | BMW-Alpina B12 5.7 Coupé, 1996 As number 56 out of a total of 57 examples built, this B12 was produced in September 1996 and delivered to Swiss Alpina importer Max Heidegger. The first owner had it registered on 21st April 1997. The Coupé with its unique combination of Oxford Green paint with special edition Alpina Buffalo leather seats and wood inlays in walnut was invoiced to Heidegger at Deutsch Marks 275'000.- and cost its first owner in excess of CHF 300'000.-! The car was originally delivered with Shift-Tronic gearbox but later converted to a normal six-speed gearbox with a regular clutch. Copies of the Alpina invoice and proof of delivery are available. After an accident in 1998, the car was rebuilt using a brand new spare body with sliding roof. The B12 has had only four owners and has covered a total of 84’500km. It has a complete service booklet with the last major service carried out in August 2019. This extremely rare Coupé is in very good condition and will certainly make an important addition to any BMW-collection. The last MOT was completed in August 2019. 179 | Ferrari 308 GTB Vetroresina, 1977 As one of only 712 examples built with a fibreglass body (Vetroresina sounds sooo much better…), this 308 was first registered in Switzerland on the 14th April 1977. In February 1982, at 32‘000 km, the car was sold to its second owner. This workshop manager of a garage was able to perform all servicing himself. In 1984, he installed the larger front air dam and the then current roof spoiler of a later model. A ANSA exhaust system took care of the sound requirements and all the work has been meticulously dociumented by its owner. The 65‘000 km indicated are therefore perfectly plausible, even without a service booklet present. End of 2016 the Ferrari was sold to its third and current owner. This 308, the rarest and most sought after of this type, is in very good, carefully maintained condition. The last Swiss Veteran MOT was completed in December 2016. 184 | Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow I, 1969 This Silver Shadow I was first registered on the 25th April 1969 as a Swiss delivered example of this magnificent automobile. According to the documentation available the car was repainted and its interior restored around 40 years ago. As far as we know, the car has covered roughly 200’000km in 50 years, with a period of inactivity from 1989 until 2006, during which time the Silver Shadow was not driven at all. Since 2006 the Rolls has been with two enthusiastic owners who added a mere 1’000km to the total mileage in 14 years. The car received regular maintenance but the beautifully patinated coachwork and interior were left undisturbed. In 2019 the car suffered an engine damage caused by a malfuntioning visco cooling-fan. As a result, a correct replacement engine with 95’000km under its belt was installed in 2020. At the same time, the visco cooling-fan, all fluids and the center exhaust silencers were replaced. The last Swiss Veteran MOT dates from June 2015. Seller's estimate : 24000 / 28000 |

210 | Ferrari 400 GT, 1979 With only 147 examples built with the 5-speed manual gearbox, this 400GT is indeed a rare find in any Ferrari collection. This car was first registered in the name of the Poetschke Company in Frankfurt on the 15th June 1979. Following current fashion, the car received the latest Panasonic RM-710 Cockpit stereo system - the most advanced and expensive system available in period. On the 7th of March 1980 the car was laid up and only repatriated in 1986 after having been bought by a Swiss architect. After recommissioning by the Ferrari specialists Peter Rosenmeier in Markgröningen, the Ferrari was imported into Switzerland on the 3rd February 1987 and received its first Swiss MOT with only 22’907 km total mileage covered by then. As can be seen from the Swiss mandatory emissions control document, in the following 18 years, a mere 6’000 km had been added. In January 2006, the 400GT was bought by the vendor. After using it sparingly (only another 2’000km in the following nine years) the engine received a cylinder head overhaul, new gaskets and the radiator as well as the clutch were overhauled or replaced. Receipts in excess of 30’000 CHF are available. A true 2 plus 2 with the classic V12 front engine layout and the timeless elegance of its Pininfarina designed body, this 31’500 km example is in excellent condition and has successfully passed its most recent MOT (incl. veteran code) in August 2015. 212 | Fiat-Abarth SE-033 Formula 2000, 1980 Being the last Carlo Abarth designed racer before he passed away, this SE-033, built in only 150 examples, is a most important piece of Abarth history. The Fiat based 2-litre engine develops 132 hp and the car weighs a mere 530 kg, providing an ideal learning base for aspiring novice racers as well as a competitive platform for more experienced drivers. 214 | Ford F100 Big Window Pick-up, 1659 Exceedingly rare Ford F100 «Big Window» with the large, panoramic rear screen. Just 6'200 examples were built in 1956 only (compared to 137'581 «normal» variants of the F100 built in the same year). The sought-after 272 cui (4'457 cm3) V8 and a 3-speed manual gearbox add up to make this the rarest F100 version of that year. This Pick-up was built in the San Jose works on the 27. December 1956 and it was delivered in the "Light Green" shade the car carries today. The Ford was restored a number of years ago and it is in good overall condition. Registered as a three-seater with a useful load of 767 kg, the car, probably the only « Big Window » in Switzerland, can provide a multitude of uses. 215 | VW Käfer Brezelfenster, 1952 This great little split-window beetle was delivered and registered in Switzerland on the 8th May 1952. The second owner, a garage owner in Affoltern am Albis, had the car for many years all the way into the eighties, driving it occasionally on his dealer olates. After he passed away, the Beetle remained off the road for more than 30 years, until the widow finally decided to sell it. The vendor bought the beetle and had a number of mechanical tasks carried out in order to get a Veteran MOT. This was achieved in 2010. By then the car had covered a mere 91’300km. On the occasion of the latest MOT renewal, the owner was told to have a little dent – probably 30 years old – on the left front mudguard repaired. Besides this small, local repair, the beetle presents itself in an unbelievably original, difficult to duplicate, condition, An absolute must for any Volkswagen afficionado and collector. Seller's estimate : 60000 / 70000 |

216 | Alfa Romeo 1900 C Super Sprint Tipo 3, 1955 An Alfa Romeo 1900C Super Sprint is high on any Alfa collector’s wish list. The beautiful design of its Touring Superleggera coachwork is testament to 1950ies Italian coachwork artistry! According to the vendors information, this example was imported in 1955 through the official Alfa Romeo agency in Agno TI. Whether the first owner of the 1900 (of four known owners in total) is actually the original owner can unfortunately not be verified. An extensively documented restoration carried out from 2003 to 2010 is well documented though. Since 2010 the car is with its current owner and is in very good, lovingly cared for condition. The last Swiss Veteran MOT was completed in October 2016. Seller's estimate : 255000 / 275000 |
