The Marquette Piano Company manufactured between 1905 and 1920 a variety of
coin operated pianos, orchestrions and photoplayers under the “Cremona” trademark. Top
of the line was the Cremona K with its beautiful beveled clear glass and Tiffany style art glass
front, its arches with colorful lamps in the niches, and its pretty oak case. Fantastic sweet
sound by three ranks of pipes for effects of violin, flute and piccolo with piano, mandolin,
triangle, tambourine and castanets. As the Cremona advertising says: “Altogether a wonder-
ful instrument full of remarkable musical results. Built especially for high class trade desiring
a superior instrument”. “The latest improved automatic expression device; varies the tonal
expression from very loud to very soft without impairing the perfect rendering of the music”
