Description:
Built in 1940 this Wurlitzer Model 850 "Peacock" jukebox represents the top of the golden age of jukebox design. Designer Paul Fuller used every form of decoration Wurlitzer could offer. The glass with peacocks on the front were backlit by two revolving polarization discs, spreading the birds in a glow of changing rainbow colors . It features Wurlitzer's famous bubble tubes, and illuminated plastics. This particular jukebox is in good playing condition and plays 24 78RPM records on one side. Restored in about 2010, leaving all the original plastic details, glass panel and bubble tubes. Nickel plating in good condition. On the top of the cabinet is a spot showing some damage in the wood.
