Description:
1930, UK, window display electromechanical automaton of a young girl rocking a cradle with a baby. Oak constructed cradle, composite figures with original clothing, painted face and eyes. These "attention getters" were used in store displays or in store window displays to gather the attention of potential customers. Very little signs of wear or use. Electromechanical operation shows the little girl rocking the cradle, her head moves and her arms move with the cradle. The oak box housing the mechanism is vintage and the oak cradle has a nice aged patina. No keys. Height: 127 cm. Width: 64,5 cm. Depth: 42 cm. Condition: Very Good. Location: Switzerland, Degersheim.
