Here is a genuine Pre-War Smiths Motor Accessories 8 day RM WlND clock as fitted to the most upscale British cars from about 1920 to 1940. it is wound and set by turning the bezel, so there is no need for a separate hinged swing out case as on the more mundane clocks of the era. would have only been fittted to expensive British cars, Bentley, Alvis, Rolls Royce, Lagonda, Armstrong Siddeley, SS Jaguar, Daimler, Austin Limosines, Sunbeam Talbot, and other large saloon and touring cars. works flawlessly and keeps perfect time. Condition is excellent. with wear only to the nickle plating on the case and some on the face. It has a brass case plated with nickle, heavy glass 0 Q :4 crystal, and an etched face marked "H-1300" and "Smiths MA British Made 179-185 Glz. I Portland St. London"
