Built by Paul Zwahlen of Yverdon, Switzerland in the 60th. Zwahlen was a famous Swiss
automaton builder for commercial use. He built the automatons for window displays and
restaurants till around 1980. His customers were “Toblerone”, Caran d’Ache, Cheese factories,
etc. The 4 clowns, playing clarinet, saxophone, accordion and bass drum, were only built 3
times for Circuses. Retonio sold them to Jerry around 20 years ago. Built for eternity they
move and simulate to play music (on an 8-track tape player) once you feed them with a coin.
